Frequently Asked Questions

Understanding how we work together

Many founders and business leaders reach a point where growth starts to feel inconsistent or overly reliant on them personally driving sales.

My role is to bring clarity, structure and commercial direction to the way revenue is generated and converted in your business.

Below are answers to some of the most common questions about working with The Resource House.

What does The Resource House help businesses with?

We help businesses strengthen the commercial foundations required for sustainable growth.

This typically includes reviewing and improving:

• Sales processes
• Customer journeys
• Lead generation structure
• Offer positioning and pricing
• CRM and pipeline management
• Commercial strategy and revenue planning

The focus is always on creating predictable, scalable revenue systems, not just short-term sales activity.

What is Sales & Customer Journey Mapping?

Sales & Customer Journey Mapping is a structured review of how potential customers move through your business, from first contact through to becoming a paying client.

We identify:

• How leads currently find you
• What happens after an enquiry
• Where opportunities drop off
• Where conversion can be improved

The result is a clear visual map of your sales journey, alongside practical recommendations to strengthen conversion and improve consistency.

What is Commercial Strategy Planning?

Commercial Strategy Planning focuses on the bigger picture of how your business generates revenue and grows.

This includes reviewing:

• Revenue targets and growth plans
• Offer positioning and pricing
• Lead generation priorities
• Sales structure and pipeline management
• Capacity and delivery alignment

The outcome is a clear commercial plan with defined priorities and next steps.

Who do you typically work with?

Most clients are founders or leadership teams within growing SMEs who want to move beyond reactive sales and build a more structured commercial engine.

Common scenarios include:

• Sales relying heavily on the founder
• Inconsistent lead generation
• Enquiries coming in but conversion being lower than expected
• Preparing to scale or hire a sales team
• Wanting greater visibility and control over the sales pipeline

What happens after the strategy work is completed?

Many clients choose to continue working together through ongoing commercial support or advisory retainers.

This allows us to implement the strategy and strengthen areas such as:

• CRM systems and pipeline management
• Sales processes and reporting
• Conversion optimisation
• Offer refinement and pricing strategy
• Sales leadership and accountability

The goal is to ensure strategy becomes embedded into the business, not left as a document.

Is this the same as hiring a salesperson?

No.

My role is to strengthen the commercial structure of the business, ensuring the right systems, processes and strategy are in place for sales to perform effectively.

This work often happens before hiring salespeople, or alongside existing teams to improve performance and consistency.

Do you work remotely or in person?

Strategy work is ideally delivered in person, as this allows for deeper discussion and more productive working sessions.

For businesses outside the North West UK, a travel cost may apply, or the session can be delivered remotely to allow flexibility for clients.

All other sessions can be delivered either in person or remotely and can be arranged based on what works best for your business.

How do we get started?

The first step is a short discovery call to understand your business, current sales structure and growth goals.

From there, I will recommend the most appropriate starting point, whether that is Sales & Customer Journey Mapping, Commercial Strategy Planning, or ongoing support.

Still unsure where to start?

Every business is different, and the most valuable first step is understanding where your biggest commercial opportunities and constraints currently sit.

You can book a discovery call to discuss your business and explore the most appropriate next step.
